Scottish Buff Terracotta Architectural Frieze

Attributed to the Garnkirk Fireclay Works, mid–19th century

A substantial Victorian terracotta frieze section with a crisply modelled running scroll of acanthus and palmette motifs, set beneath a bold dentil/tongue-moulded cornice. Originally part of a larger architectural scheme, now an impressive decorative fragment with warm buff tone and well-preserved relief.
