ABOUT

“Treasure by Name…”
I’m Michael, and yes — Treasure really is my surname. Fitting, considering I’ve spent most of my life rummaging through the past.
It all began in Tetbury, being dragged around antique shops by my parents as a child. At the time, I thought it was a form of mild torture. Now I realise it was a masterclass in taste, texture, and the thrill of the hunt.
Today I deal in pieces that feel timeless: 19th-century plaster casts, architectural fragments, natural history specimens, and furniture with just the right amount of wear. Things with soul, and often a little swagger.
Everything here has been chosen because I liked it enough to live with it. Sometimes I do—until someone else falls for it too.
Whether you’re a collector, a designer, or just someone who doesn’t like things too new, I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
And if you spot me rummaging through crates at an antiques fair, do come and say hello. I’m always happy to talk plaster, patina, or the perfect chair leg.
