A superb early 20th-century handcrafted model of a Victorian-era gunboat, made by A.J. Bark of Northwich, a known specialist in ship models. Mounted on its original custom stand with a nameplate, this model represents a Royal Navy gunboat or armed steamship of the late 19th century, used for colonial patrols, coastal defense, and river service.
A.J. Bark was a master model boat craftsman, active in the early 20th century, producing fine-scale models of sailing yachts, power boats, and historic ships. His work is documented in period advertisements of British Industrial History.
